Gold, Camel & Brown

We Live Upstairs Gold Camel & Brown Outfit
This is, by far and away, my most favorite place to take pictures of any sort, and I just found it last week by complete accident! It is an unexpected burst of cheer behind a thrift store in town, and someplace I'm sure I'll be visiting again in the future.

And, as you can see, I'm revisiting (sort of) the idea of monochrome. Different hues and shades, yet still so simple and easily executed. I'm still fascinated with lime & cranberry, but as accents here, rather than center stage. Also, this is me dyeing my hair brown; virtually no change. It'll turn eventually or I'll die trying. #redheadproblems

If you're a U.S. reader, did you attend or host any Superbowl parties? I skipped my run yesterday and instead ate made puppy chow while dancing around the kitchen to Prince in anticipation of a friend's party. But that evens out, right?

Have a great week!

P.S.- If you've missed the addition to my sidebar, I'm now a member of the Teen Vogue Fashion Click, which means that I can submit posts to be featured on teenvogue.com. If you'd be so kind, head over to this link and throw a few votes my way? I'd really appreciate it! Thanks so much!

  2. This is one of my favourite outfits of yours - the camel tones have a real classic 60s look topped off wonderfully by your hat! And that lime necklace! A perfect outfit :) It's funny isn't it how differently you start looking at walls when you start style blogging - any kind of graffiti, mad colours or other quirks make you go weak at the knees :)

  3. I have been looking all over for a camel coat like that. Yours is superb. Love the shimmery top too! How fun that you found a great, colorful spot-the combination is so perfect against your neutral look.

  4. This really is the coolest place to take photos, what a fun color to have in the background. I love this monochromatic look and the tiny bursts of color. That hat is such a great piece!

  5. This is one of my favourite outfits on any blog, ever! Love the combination of colours.
My boyfriend and I stayed up to watch the superbowl (it runs 11pm-4am here! Yawn!) but we didn't know the rules so we just had to learn as we went. We weren't used to how slow a game it is with stoppage all the time though so we ended up putting on Breaking Bad instead! x

    1. Wow, thanks so much for the sweet words, Lauren!
And yeah, football is extremely slow to watch, which is why I pretty much only paid attention during the commercials and halftime show. Oops! : )
