True Blue
Shirt: Thrifted; Shorts: Thrifted but from UO; Shoes: Thrifted; Sunglasses: Vintage
Hey guys! How are you? I know I've been very absent the last several days, but I've been feeling pretty blue due to the absence of my boo. I haven't felt like doing much of anything except consuming lethal amounts of sugar and watching terrible movies/shows. But I think I may be crawling out of the pit, slowly but surely. Mixing some fun patterns together sure helps : )
This pair of sunglasses might be my favorite possession. By might, I mean definitely are. They're vintage Ray Ban-esuqe that Matt gave me as a gift! They needed a screw replaced, as they kept sliding all the way down my nose whenever I looked down, but now they are perfect. Well, they still have a crack under one of the lenses, but I don't count that.
Also: unfortunately, we're back to poor picture quality for the time being. Matt took my baby to Greece, but that means I'll have hopefully stunning photos to share upon his return!
How's your week going thus far? I'm already ready for the weekend because my BFF is coming for a visit! I can't wait!
Until next time!

Bambs
Shirt: Thrifted
Sweater: "Borrowed" from mom years ago
Pants: New York & Co.
Shoes: Target
Pin: Christmas gift from Lydia
I did it! I wore the big daddy (long leg?) shoes to school! Whoo! It might have been the fact that I was wearing pants versus a mini, or the fact that I felt like such a wuss for, well, wussing out the other day, but either way- I owned them. And I didn't trip! Not once. Here's the part where we pretend I accomplished something legitimate.
I did get a few looks; I'm 5'8" without the shoes...but, once again, I'm used to it.
This shirt is one of the many items the thrift gods blessed me with at The Wardrobe last week (I can't wait to share them!). I swear, it was a free-for-all in there. Unfortunately, I tried it on for the first time just before these photos, and discovered that it's pretty gigantic on me. Nothing a little tucking in and sleeve rolling can't fix! And isn't the collar perfect? There's not much more I could ask for from a collar.
This pin is now one of my most prized possessions; a) who doesn't love Bambi? (I'm pretty sure hunters are not part of my current blog demographic) and b) it's from my BFF. Where's the bad? NOWHERE.
I'm planning on another "Things I Learned When I Looked Up From Facebook" for tomorrow, but is there anything you would like to see on here? I'm brainstorming some content ideas, but I'd love any input you have!

Your Next BFF: Volume I
For the first installment of Your Next BFF, I want to say "what up" to my main shawty, Lydia Kassinger from LYDS WAS HERE.

Though Lydia and I have known each other since the third grade (roughly twelve years), we've only been BFFs for eight years. I only say "only" because it feels like I've known her forever. Why the four year gap? Glad you asked.
We actually hated each other when we first met. I insulted her clothing choices on several occasions (can you say brat?) and she thought I was trying to snake her best friend from her. But through repeated exposure to each other, forced upon us by our small school system, the gifted program we were members of in elementary school, and our parents' mutual friends, we were finally able to accept the fact that we would have to be in the same room once and awhile.
Then, one day in high school, we decided we liked each other. The rest is history:

There are way too many pictures of us doing this face from the high school era. Don't judge.
Doing not English in English class.
Birthday party I think?
Graduation, y'all. We're the two right-most.
After high school at some point. Let's not talk about my hair.

When our mutual friend took some photos of us. After Lyds became engaged, I believe.

Performing my slave labor duties on her wedding day. So pretty! <3
In the bride's room.
Slave labor again at her baby shower. WHEN DOES IT END. JK girl, jk.
She was my partner-in-crme all throughout high school and now she's a sweetie-pie wife and an amazing mom. Unfortunately, we don't get to see each other very often anymore, but it's been pretty great watching her transform into Superwoman. She's kind of my hero.
Not to mention, she is being super supportive of this lil blog! She has done all the design work and given me buckets of advice. Seriously, if you ever given the chance to be her BFF, do it. You won't regret it. Love you Lyds! <3
