Did anyone run across this PAPERMAG article about pin-up photoshop-ing? It's interesting that the models who sat for the portraits were edited by the artist, even in the 50s + 60s. Check it out!

The shocking thing is that the artist was a woman! Another example of girl hate, unfortunately. Though I'm sure she had some male bosses breathing down her neck.
Yeah, same here. I do some color correction, but mostly just so my clothes look the same on screen as they do IRL. But I don't mess with body photoshopping. I don't see the point. Especially in advertising: why use an almost fully engineered "person" to sell something to real people?
Ha I love how all the models are doing that weird kissy mouth thing and then the painter made the mouths different. I guess that was like a "thing" in the 50s/60s. Great article and thanks for sharing!
