I think I may be currently going through the "ILOVEPINKANDPURPLEFOREVERNOTHINGBETTER" phase that I skipped when I was little; I was big into blue and doing "boy" things with my male cousins. The things I purchased while shopping this past weekend were both extremely feminine pieces. And yes, one was pink, and one was purple. I'm sure it's a phase and I'll be back to my lace up boots and sleeveless tees in no time.

Do you guys get into modes where you wear very similar (or the same, as is my case sometimes : /) things for a week or two at a time? I do it a lot with florals; also extremely feminine. What's happening to me?!

  1. YES! I'm super girly, I realize. And wear floral like it's nobody's business. Floral has become so popular though, I've noticed I've become picky on the kind that I wear. Floral and High-Waisted things have become my summer weakness.
And I adore your little fawn pen! <3

    1. It's SO hard not to cover myself in florals all summer long. It just fits.
And thanks! I love it so much.

    1. Aw, thank you! It was another thing I made the employees at my local thrift shop take off the mannequin : /.

    1. Haha, well I suppose I'll claim the responsibility. It IS my fault, I suppose.

Thanks so much! Yeah, I repeat a lot in the summer too; It's mostly denim shorts and tanks instead of dresses, though.

  4. Very cute, but how did you not die in the sweater outside? I've been a sweaty mess all week! haha.

    1. Weeelll the sweater was what I like to call a "styling detail," haha. I wore the rest of it, but added the sweater for pictures. It's how I would wear it, ideally. If it wasn't the depths of hell outside.

  5. Hey there summer sweater! (; I approve! Honestly, I respect anyone who is able to wear a sweater late June in Missouri heat! Glad to know I'm not alone.

Having a total solids phase right now. Either solids, stripes, or polka dots. Not so extreme, but I cant seem to pull myself away!

    1. Haha, I wouldn't be able to wear it outside, that's for sure. But I can definitely use a sweater sometimes at work! It gets cold in there!

I love pairing solids. So versatile! Color blocking or pairing with other patterns!

    1. Gah, high waisted shorts are 95% of what I wear all summer. They're just so easy!.

  7. Loving this look, I especially love the dress! I was the same way when I was younger, I lived in stretchy pants and jeans and did not like pink or purple! I loved sports and games and hanging with the boys. Now, I wear frills collars, floral, and pastel all the time. Eight year old me would be seriously dismayed!

    1. Why thank you!
And an emphatic "hell yes!" to the stretchy pants thing. I was allll about that when I was little. And even now, yoga pants are my favorite thing ever.
